Biological damage

Biodeterioration is any undesirable change in the book caused by the activities of organisms (bacteria, actinomycetales, fungi, insects, rodents). Organisms that attack materials, objects, and buildings, called biodeteriorating agents. Molds and insects cause significant damage to books.
